Cha Mediation Services was founded by Phillip K. Cha. Phillip brings a calm, even-keeled temperament to the mediation process. He prides himself on his ability to communicate clearly, build a rapport with people from all walks of life and provide a fair, candid case evaluation.
Prior to becoming a full-time mediator, Phillip spent his entire career practicing in the labor and employment law field. It was during this journey that Phillip developed the skills and experience needed to be an effective mediator.
Phillip's areas of expertise include discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, whistleblower, wage-and-hour compliance, class actions, PAGA representative actions, unfair competition and trade secret misappropriation, WARN Act, leaves of absence and small business disputes.
At various points in his career, Phillip has represented Fortune 500 corporations, insureds of employment practices liability insurance carriers, non-profits and small to middle-market businesses in a wide variety of industries. While Phillip has represented employers, he has also established a reputation among the plaintiffs' bar for being a zealous yet cordial and ethical advocate.
Phillip also has extensive experience working with the Korean-American and Asian-American communities, which has given him a true awareness and appreciation of the cultural dynamics often driving the underlying litigation.
